Sculpture by Sallie Maxwell - Contact the Artist

Sallie Maxwell - Sallie Maxwell is a lifelong artist and sculptor. She is a Colorado Springs resident, recently retired from 33 years teaching art and special education. She holds a BFA and a Masters of Education Degree. Maxwell studied sculpture in Santa Fe while a gallery owner. She also studied with Randall May in Colorado Springs. Maxwell has exhibited her work in Santa Fe, New Mexico and in Colorado Springs. Her sculpture was juried into the Colorado Springs Art Guild Fall shows in 2002 and 2003. Her work is currently on exhibit at Chrystinas Gallery, Old Colorado City, Colorado. Three of her sculptures have merited her first place and two honorable mentions in the Pueblo Art Guild Show in August 2005. She has also just completed a commissioned piece for a Squadron at Schriver Air Force Base.
